EXPERTISE

  1. Power electronics: Circuit designing and controlling of AC-DC inverter/converter and DC-DC converter with theoretical, experimental and numerical approach.
  2. Power system engineering: Especially for transient and dynamic power system stability analysis, power flow calculation and power system planning for renewable energy such as PVs and wind generators.
  3. Electrical machine: Especially for modeling of synchronous machine and reactive power compensators.
  4. High voltage engineering for lightning protection, surge propagation and long gap discharges.
  5. EMC: Especially experimenting on electro-magnetic interference caused by electrical apparatus and partial discharge.
  6. Designing of real time digital controller for inverter with using A/D converters, DSPs, CPLDs and FPGAs.
  7. Electrical circuit analysis of poly phase system.

CURRENT RESERACH

  1. SiC power device: characteristics evaluation, modeling for simulation and power conversion circuit design suitable for it.
  2. Non-linear problems: bifurcations and sub-harmonic oscillations caused by switching phenomenon.
  3. Synchronization and attraction mechanism of interconnected inverter system.
  4. Electrical energy storage: system designing with evaluating and considering the characteristics of Redox-Flow battery system.
