2. Short-circuit current breaking phenomena
General: (Technical terms)
Breaking --- Sequence of current interrupting process, i.e., Contact separation of a circuit-breaker, Arcing and Quenching phenomena, Current interruption, Recovery of voltage between contacts, Withstanding the voltage.
Interruption --- Current extinction, generally, around the prospective current zero of AC.
Transient Recovery Voltage (TRV) --- Voltage appearing at the location (generally across the terminals) of the circuit-breaker just after the current interruption.
