12. Super conducting transformers
General
Super conductive phenomena is known as "perfect loss less." This is correct for DC, but by AC, certain loss, although very small, is created. Nevertheless, due to very low efficiency of refrigerators for keeping ultra-low temperature, the small loss is of great importance.
