The distribution of the latest ATP materials via Internet
The distribution of latest ATP softwares via E-mail in Japan had been
served until Sept. 1997 since June 1996.
In Sept. 1997, the password protected WWW servers have been studied and
established by Dr. Hiroshi Arita . Dr. Kasiwagi of
Kisarazu National College of Technology and Dr. Funaki of Osaka University.
Based on it, it was decided
to move the distribution of the latest softwares and the discussion
about the important subjects to these secure WWW servers.
These servers are maintained on a volunteer basis by JAUG secretaries.
JEC(Japanese EMTP Committee) decided to make a financial assistance
to the part of the maintenance of our server machines at the 1998 general
meeting held at May 1998, because most of the JEC members are using ATP and
getting ATP softwares and documents through the secure ftp servers of JAUG.
JAUG and JEC established the good cooperation relationship at October 1997.
But please note that JAUG is an independent organization different from JEC, and is not
the lower part of JEC.
