8. Inverter/Converter circuit ------ 3-phase thyristor rectifier
General
Previous Next Contents

In analyzing inverter/converter circuit phenomena, due to huge number of switchings and the initial conditions at all switching instants creating various complications, mathematical analyses are, practically, not applicable. Fortunately some numerical calculation programs have easily been applied today, e.g., EMTP, PSPICE, etc., therefore, accurate calculations and designs have been possible. As a simple and primitive example, three-phase thyristor rectifier circuit is taken up in this chapter.
